Case Study: University of London achieves an inclusive, accessible web experience for global students with Recite Me

A Recite Me Case Study

Preview of the University of London Case Study

University of London - Customer Case Study

The University of London, one of the UK’s largest higher-education bodies with over 52,000 distance-learning students and 164,270 campus-based students, needed to ensure its online content was fully inclusive as international and remote enrolments grew. To reduce barriers for students with disabilities and those who speak English as a second language, the university selected Recite Me and its assistive technology toolbar to improve accessibility across its public site.

Recite Me’s assistive toolbar was integrated and styled to match the University of London’s website and rolled out across devices, enabling users to change font type and size, adjust text and background colours, access a dictionary and thesaurus, translate content, and have text read aloud. Recite Me’s solution has been adopted across the university’s intranet and jobs site as well, allowing the institution to increase accessibility quickly and easily and extend usable content to a wider range of students and visitors.
