The Scottish Ambulance Service, a frontline NHS provider for over 5 million people, needed to ensure its crucial online emergency information and resources were accessible to all website visitors, regardless of their abilities or language needs. To address this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Recite Me to implement its accessibility toolbar.

Recite Me's solution provided an assistive toolbar featuring screen reading, multiple reading aids, and an on-demand translation tool supporting over 100 languages. This implementation allowed the Scottish Ambulance Service to offer an inclusive online experience. In a 12-month period, the toolbar was used by 2,665 unique users, who viewed over 9,174 pages.
