Gateshead Carers - Customer Case Study

Gateshead Carers is a charity supporting over 3,500 unpaid adult carers in Gateshead, providing tailored practical, emotional and informational support. To ensure its revamped website and new e‑learning hub were accessible to a wide range of service users — including many for whom English is not a first language (18 languages spoken across their network; 9% of carers from a BME background) — Gateshead Carers turned to Recite Me and its accessibility and language toolbar.

Recite Me added a prominent LANGUAGE & LISTEN link to the top of the site so visitors can quickly adapt content — translating into over 100 languages, changing font sizes and colours, adjusting backgrounds, and using audio reading and styling tools. This Recite Me solution makes information more accessible for the charity’s diverse community and directly supports Gateshead Carers’ mission to improve access to vital information for the 3,500+ carers they support.
