Breckland Council & South Holland District Council - Customer Case Study

Breckland Council & South Holland District Council, two independent district councils in East England that share senior management, needed to ensure their new websites were accessible to as many people as possible, including users with disabilities. They selected Recite Me and its custom toolbar to meet this accessibility and inclusion requirement.

Recite Me implemented a toolbar on both websites offering audio, styling, reading and translation tools, enabling users to adapt content and translate the sites into over 100 languages. Installation was straightforward—just a small code snippet added to each page header and footer—with ongoing management by the Recite Me team; the councils selected Recite Me for its broad feature set, ease of installation and cost, and it replaced a limited page-by-page Google Translate approach to broaden access.
