Arriva UK Bus, part of Arriva plc and operating around 5,900 vehicles in the UK, needed to make its website usable for people with dyslexia, dyspraxia, low-level visual impairments and non-native English speakers. To address this accessibility challenge, Arriva UK Bus implemented Recite Me’s accessibility tools on their site.

Recite Me was added as an “accessibility and audio” option that lets users change fonts and sizes, adjust colour themes, translate content, access a dictionary and thesaurus, and use text-to-speech controls (back, play, forward). The solution made the website more accessible and inclusive, enabling users to navigate in their preferred format and earning positive feedback from Arriva UK Bus leadership — a clear improvement in usability even though no specific usage metrics were provided.
