TechPlace, an innovation space run by the Burlington Economic Development Corporation, welcomed 5,000 visitors in its first year but struggled to track visitor origin, category and visit purpose using Excel and SurveyMonkey. To automate and modernize check-ins, TechPlace evaluated digital options and adopted The Receptionist for iPad.

Using The Receptionist for iPad, TechPlace created customized check-in buttons and tailored user flows for each visitor type, enabling an easy self-serve front desk. The Receptionist automated check-ins, produced accurate visit records for reporting (improving tracking of visitor source, business type and visit reason), reduced manual work and saved staff time while reliably handling high visitor volume.
