Ryte secures €2M in funding with re:cap to power growth and exit

Ryte, a Munich-based SaaS company specializing in website user experience software, faced the challenge of securing flexible bridge financing to support its dual-track strategy of either achieving an exit or raising another venture capital round. The company needed capital to reach profitability but found traditional venture debt to be complex, long-term, and dilutive due to warrants. They turned to the vendor re:cap to explore an alternative solution.

re:cap initially provided Ryte with €1.5 million in short-term financing, which was later converted into a €2 million long-term facility. This flexible capital gave Ryte the stability to grow profitably and, crucially, provided a stronger negotiating position when approached by Semrush for an acquisition. The successful exit in 2024 was achieved, with Ryte's CFO stating, "We couldn't have done this exit without re:cap."
