Keck Observatory, based on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, needed a secure way to remotely display telescope system screens, let staff access office PCs from anywhere, and simplify remote system administration across its research operations. The observatory chose RealVNC, using VNC Connect with an Enterprise subscription to support these needs.

RealVNC implemented secure remote access for staff, engineers, and IT administrators, enabling round-the-clock troubleshooting, software installs, upgrades, and remote observation without traveling to the summit. The result was improved efficiency, reduced need for on-site visits, and lower operating costs, with RealVNC supporting access to more than 1,000 remote computers.
