Dublin City Council’s Roads and Traffic Department, specifically its Intelligent Transportation Systems team, needed a cost-effective way to monitor and manage Dublin’s traffic systems and remote servers. They turned to RealVNC and its VNC Connect Enterprise subscription to support Urban Traffic Control and reduce disruptive, expensive out-of-hours site visits.

RealVNC enabled the team to monitor server health, make traffic signal changes, and perform maintenance remotely, even from home and across different operating systems. The result was improved efficiency, fewer call-outs and travel costs, better collaboration with contractors, and smoother traffic operations across Dublin, with remote access in place for about 100 computers.
