Bare Escentuals, a cosmetics company known for adopting new technologies, wanted a new way to promote its SUPERNATURAL collection. It worked with RealTime Email to launch a video in email campaign built around embedding video directly in the message.
The email featured “Get Lauren’s Look” with cosmetics highlighted throughout the video. According to Marissa Oyadomari, Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist, the first mailing using embedded video doubled its click-through rate compared with prior video emails, and RealTime Email said the approach was becoming easier to view on devices like the iPhone and iPad.
