Celebrity Cruises wanted to personalize the customer journey through email marketing while improving engagement and driving urgency to book. Its daily “exciting deals” emails were becoming uninspiring, and the company also wanted to use video content in email and increase registrations for local events without changing its email sending infrastructure. Celebrity Cruises used RealTime Email to add real-time elements to its campaigns.
With RealTime Email, Celebrity Cruises used LiveMap for local event invites, Countdown Timer for time-sensitive promotions, LiveForecast for last-minute escape campaigns, and Video in Email for welcome emails. The results included almost a 100 percent increase in open rates, from 22.5 percent to 42.2 percent, a 50 percent lift in open rates for countdown timer emails, 69 total impressions year to date with a 38 percent open rate for LiveForecast, and a 97.2 percent lift in click-through rates for video emails.
