Epicor Moves from WebEx to ReadyTech for Added Functionality & Efficiency

Epicor, a computer software company offering ERP and related business management solutions, moved its training from in-person classrooms to online delivery to reduce travel costs. After initially using WebEx, Epicor found that the meeting tool was not well suited for training: it required heavy maintenance, lacked a hosted environment, limited hands-on lab access, and made it difficult for instructors to manage students effectively.

ReadyTech provided a virtual classroom and training platform with hosted lab environments, screen sharing, whiteboard, polling, chat, and complete student oversight. With ReadyTech, Epicor could deploy its own training images, saving time and costs, and instructors gained the ability to view and control student desktops. The result was a major increase in usage, with student numbers rising from 1,260 in 2011 to more than 5,200 in 2016, a 300% jump.
