A ReadMe Case Study
Akamai, a network services provider, needed a centralized hub for product, API, and help documentation that could be updated without the downtime and fragility of its custom DITA XML and Markdown setup. With more than 9000 employees globally and $3.5 billion in annual review, internal teams were struggling to streamline documentation and user enablement across a complex product suite.
Akamai switched to ReadMe and used it as a developer hub for all of its documentation, including Swagger-based API docs, guides, online help, and UI documentation. The team was able to publish updates faster, keep writers and engineers in sync, and give customers a more unified experience, while sales and support benefited from quicker doc changes and stronger documentation for demos.
