Arizona Board of Regents assesses nearly 5,000 trust land parcels with RCLCO

The Arizona Board of Regents, the governing body for Arizona's public universities, engaged real estate consulting firm RCLCO for a land assessment. As a beneficiary of state trust lands, the board needed to understand the characteristics and revenue potential of nearly 5,000 parcels to support its universities, updating a previous analysis from 1996.

RCLCO provided a solution by creating an analytical framework to inventory, assess, and prioritize all the parcels. They developed a ranking system to identify the most promising properties for development over a 10-year horizon. The impact of this work is that RCLCO presented its findings to the Arizona Board of Regents, who are now reviewing the data to make strategic internal decisions regarding the next steps for the trust lands.
