The customer, one of the largest US software manufacturers, required complete transparency over its complex server farm of over 670,000 servers to improve license management, optimize costs, and minimize audit risks. Its highly virtualized and secure infrastructure demanded a highly automated and flexible central inventory solution. Raynet addressed this challenge with its Raynet One inventory solution.

Raynet implemented its Raynet One solution using a portable scanning method that leveraged the customer's existing infrastructure to meet strict security requirements. This allowed the customer to quickly inventory its entire server farm, identifying over half a million servers within a few months. The project established a foundation for integrated software license management, providing the customer with the necessary transparency for significant license cost optimization and protection against audit risks.
