US Cold Storage - Customer Case Study

US Cold Storage, a 110-year-old refrigerated warehousing company, needed reliable material handling in extremely cold, high‑density facilities with 40‑foot racks and long operating hours. To address these challenges they partnered with The Raymond Corporation for a purpose‑built fleet of Raymond lift trucks — including Reach‑Fork trucks, counterbalanced sit‑ and stand‑up trucks, orderpickers and pallet trucks — configured for cold‑storage use.

The Raymond Corporation equipped 71 trucks with cold‑storage conditioning, the Raymond ThermaKit heated controls and floor cushions, and Vantage Point high‑level imaging, and provided ongoing support through authorized Raymond service centers. The solution improved operator comfort and accuracy in subzero conditions, supported 16–18 hour daily operations, and enabled US Cold Storage to move as much as 100 million pounds of product per month between facilities.
