United States Cold Storage Inc., a refrigerated warehouse operator, faced the challenge of improving efficiency within its extensive network of cold-storage facilities, which operate in harsh, frigid environments. To address this, the company partnered with The Raymond Corporation to find a solution for its new warehouses in Wilmington, Illinois, and Lebanon, Indiana.

The Raymond Corporation, working through a local Solutions and Support Center, provided a fleet of 71 lift trucks including reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet trucks, many equipped with the Raymond ThermaKit system for operator comfort. This solution from Raymond enabled USCS to reliably handle over 100 million pounds of product per month while operating up to 18 hours a day, seven days a week, in demanding refrigerated conditions.
