UNFI reduces carbon emissions by 132 metric tons annually with The Raymond Corporation

United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) sought to reduce energy consumption and identify sustainable technologies for its facilities. This challenge led them to partner with The Raymond Corporation to investigate hydrogen fuel cells as a new power source for their lift trucks.

The Raymond Corporation engineered the industry's first hydrogen fuel cell-compatible orderpicker truck for UNFI. The solution resulted in increased productivity due to fast refueling times and an estimated reduction of 132 metric tons in annual carbon emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 35 automobiles.

UNFI
