A The Raymond Corporation Case Study
Pacific Coast, a third-party logistics provider operating more than 1.3 million square feet of warehousing in California, needed to consolidate two facilities into one smaller footprint while maintaining pallet capacity and improving product movement in much taller racking. To meet that challenge, The Raymond Corporation (through Raymond Handling Solutions) was engaged to recommend a new layout and provide equipment and services, including Raymond Model 7400 Deep-Reach® lift trucks and integrated racking and service programs.
The Raymond Corporation designed the facility layout, specified 26-foot-high double-deep racking and supplied Model 7400 lift trucks plus a comprehensive maintenance agreement, enabling Pacific Coast to replace 625,000 sq ft of space with a single 412,000 sq ft warehouse and more than 45,000 pallet positions. The solution delivered a reported 20–25% productivity gain, 15–20% energy savings, lower labor costs, improved uptime and operator preference for the Raymond trucks, producing measurable operational and cost benefits.
