9to5 Seating boosts warehouse productivity by 40% with The Raymond Corporation

9to5 Seating, a designer and manufacturer of office seating, had the aggressive goal of quadrupling production capacity in its new LEED Gold-certified facility. To achieve this, the company partnered with The Raymond Corporation and its local Sales and Service Center, Raymond Handling Solutions, to design and implement a new material handling system.

Raymond Handling Solutions designed a U-shaped material flow utilizing a fleet of Raymond lift trucks, including stand-up counterbalanced, Swing-Reach®, Reach-Fork®, and pallet trucks. The solution integrated conveyors and a pick module with the company's ERP system. This new system from The Raymond Corporation increased overall productivity by more than 40% and reduced the number of handling touches per product by approximately four.
