A Rave Mobile Safety Case Study
Grove City faced a critical emergency communications challenge: 62% of its 9-1-1 calls came from mobile phones that often did not provide an exact address, creating dangerous delays—sometimes up to 15 minutes—to rebid a caller’s location. To address this, Grove City partnered with Rave Mobile Safety and implemented the Rave 911 Suite, including Smart911 Safety Profiles, to give call takers additional location and medical information for callers who cannot speak.
Rave Mobile Safety’s solution enabled residents to create Smart911 profiles and gave telecommunicators outbound chat and enhanced location tools, allowing dispatchers to locate callers quickly. Since implementing Rave 911 Suite in 2013, Grove City has seen the platform impact over 3,000 9-1-1 calls, send more than 2,100 chats, earn five national commendations, and in one instance shave approximately 15 minutes off response time—leading to an arrest and no further injuries.
