A Rave Mobile Safety Case Study
Eaton County, Michigan, a 579‑square‑mile community of more than 108,000 residents, needed a way to deliver timely, relevant alerts across rural and more densely populated areas without causing message fatigue or mass opt‑outs. To address geo‑targeting, segmentation and scalable outreach, the county worked with Rave Mobile Safety, extending its existing Rave 911 Suite with Rave Alert (and related tools like Smart911, Rave Prepare and Rave Panic Button) to tailor notifications to specific neighborhoods and user preferences.
Rave Mobile Safety implemented Rave Alert integrated with the county’s Rave 911 Suite and Smart911 registration, using geofencing and opt‑in lists so only affected residents receive noncritical messages while everyone can still get major emergency alerts. The combined solution drove a surge in registrations—70% of signups now come from the Smart911 app—and produced a 124% increase in Smart911 Safety Profiles in 2017, improving targeted communication, resident confidence and emergency preparedness.
