Rave Alert Facilitates Critical Communication During Hurricane

The City of Columbia faced the challenge of keeping essential state employees operating at the State House during Hurricane Florence while the rest of the public was advised to evacuate. To maintain critical communication and safety, the city used Rave Mobile Safety’s mass notification product, Rave Alert, to reach staff during the storm.

Rave Mobile Safety deployed Rave Alert to notify about 3,500 essential employees of shift assignments and which entrances and exits to use, then used the platform after the storm to warn of hazards during cleanup. The targeted, timely alerts helped protect staff, sustain government operations, and streamline post-storm safety communications.
