Oklahoma’s Norman Public Schools Protect School Community by Leveraging Rave Mobile Safety to Enhance Communication

Norman Public Schools faced gaps in emergency preparedness and on-campus communication — from large campuses and outdated maps to unreliable loudspeakers/radios, nondigital crisis plans, and teacher resistance to new systems. To address these issues the district partnered with Rave Mobile Safety and deployed the Rave Panic Button solution.

Rave Mobile Safety worked closely with the district’s emergency management coordinator and school leaders to implement Panic Button, integrating 9-1-1, shareable maps, drill management and real-time notifications. The system pinpointed incidents so responders arrived in minutes, removed phone-tree delays and map errors, increased staff adoption and preparedness, and helped drive statewide adoption of the Rave Panic Button across Oklahoma.
