Missouri S&T Strengthens Campus Safety Through Community Police, Rave Guardian™

Missouri S&T faced the challenge of encouraging students, faculty and staff to actively report incidents and easily contact campus police—many were reluctant to approach officers or unsure how to reach them. After the University of Missouri System adopted Rave Alert, Missouri S&T selected Rave Mobile Safety’s Rave Guardian personal safety app to give the campus community a familiar, phone-based way to communicate directly with University Police.

Rave Mobile Safety deployed Rave Guardian alongside enhanced patrols and camera integration, and the department promoted the app during orientation and outreach. The results were measurable: in one three-week period the Safety Timer was used 111 times, the text feature 91 times, 3 emergency calls were received and 40 call-directory tickets were submitted; overall incident reporting increased and Missouri S&T earned a Safe Campus Top 25 recognition—demonstrating clear impact from Rave Mobile Safety’s solution.
