Lord Fairfax Community College Makes a “Seamless” Switch to Rave AlertTM

Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) needed to replace its mass notification system in 2016 after its previous vendor was bought out and the old system lost support. CIO Richard Crim wanted a higher-education–tested solution that could integrate with digital signage and social media and deliver rapid, reliable alerts. LFCC selected Rave Mobile Safety and implemented Rave Alert™ to meet those needs.

Rave Mobile Safety implemented Rave Alert in about four hours and LFCC grew its enrollment in the system from roughly 7,700 to more than 10,600 community members. The cloud-hosted solution adds automatic semester sync, supports 10 authorized administrators, unlimited messaging, and eliminated per-message charges; Crim reports about four hours saved annually on manual list cleanup and alert delivery to phones in roughly two seconds with no outages.
