Leveraging Employee Emergency Notifications at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union

Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), a large East Lansing credit union with hundreds of employees and more than 246,000 members, needed an out-of-the-box alerting system to quickly notify staff during emergencies. After evaluating options and deciding not to build internally, MSUFCU selected Rave Mobile Safety’s Rave Alert to provide a proven emergency notification platform.

Rave Mobile Safety implemented Rave Alert’s multi-modal solution—mobile apps, calls, email, text and 2-step SnapSend broadcasts—using templates and audience segmentation and a public-safety-grade, geo-redundant infrastructure. The platform reaches thousands in seconds and all employees in minutes; about a dozen staff across departments actively use it for events like weather, power outages and fire alarms, and MSUFCU reports improved incident response and a greater sense of security.
