A Rave Mobile Safety Case Study

Preview of the Bay County Central Dispatch Case Study

How Bay County, MI sends 1.2 Million notifications to keep Residents Informed

Bay County Central Dispatch in Michigan needed to upgrade its emergency notification system after alert volume exceeded one million messages annually. To handle growing broad and targeted communications—emergencies, road closures, transit updates and bridge openings—while dispatchers continued to answer 9-1-1 calls, Bay County selected Rave Alert from Rave Mobile Safety.

Rave Mobile Safety implemented Rave Alert quickly and non-disruptively: 75% of the contact database was migrated, dispatchers completed two days of training, and Smart911 was added nine months later. The combined Rave Alert and Smart911 solution now sends about 1.2 million notifications annually, increases community sign-ups through a single portal, reduces redundant 9‑1‑1 calls, and improved public engagement and overall public safety.
