Downtown Dallas Inc. Keeps Bustling Community Safe Through Rave Alert™

Downtown Dallas Inc. (DDI) is a private non‑profit that oversees safety, maintenance and development in the rapidly growing downtown Dallas core. With more than 140,000 employees in the immediate area, 12,000+ residents downtown and 250,000+ workers in the city center, DDI needed a targeted, cell‑based mass notification system tailored to commercial properties, hotels, schools and residents—filling gaps the citywide alerts didn’t cover. To meet that need DDI deployed Rave Mobile Safety’s Rave Alert™ platform.

After switching to Rave Alert™ in 2018, Rave Mobile Safety gave DDI an easier UI, HTML messaging, prebuilt templates (20–30 scenarios) and the ability to share administration with the Dallas OEM. The system sends roughly 150 email/text alerts a year to about 1,700 business owners, operators and security staff, enabled rapid multi‑message updates during incidents (for example, five updates during a restaurant fire that shut down a DART stop), and delivered faster, more trusted downtown‑specific notifications that improve situational awareness and help protect lives.
