Cook County, Ill., Emergency Personnel Speeds Up Response Time with Rave Platform

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office, which serves more than 5 million residents across 128 municipalities, needed faster, more accurate caller location and better ways to manage COVID-19 risks and high call volumes (about 420 calls per day, roughly 93% from cell phones). To address these challenges they turned to Rave Mobile Safety, deploying Rave 911 Suite along with Smart911 safety profiles and Rave Alert to surface critical caller information and send community and staff notifications.

Rave Mobile Safety’s solution placed Smart911 profiles and a highlighted quarantine indicator directly on call‑taker screens, cutting confirmation time and improving responder safety, while integration with RapidSOS delivered far more precise mobile locations to speed dispatch. Rave Alert enabled targeted outreach to employees, seniors and residents in need (including food-assistance notices), improving coordination across jurisdictions and reducing on‑call handling time and response delays.
