A Rave Mobile Safety Case Study
Coconino County, a sparsely populated, 18,661-square-mile jurisdiction in north-central Arizona, faced the challenge of quickly coordinating emergency response across vast distances for events like wildfires, post-fire flooding and COVID‑19 vaccine distribution with a small emergency management team. To improve speed, targeting and multi-agency coordination, Coconino County adopted Rave Mobile Safety’s mass-notification capabilities, including the Rave Alert platform.
Rave Mobile Safety implemented Rave Alert’s multi-channel messaging, text-to-opt-in and polling features plus personal safety profiles to target evacuations and manage vaccine surplus outreach. The platform let the county notify about 700 residents in one wildfire event and more than 20,000 in another, scale vaccine polling from ~120–150 people to 400–500, and cut outreach time to roughly two minutes to send a poll and 60–90 seconds to get responses versus the 20–40 minutes phone calls previously required — an outcome Coconino County describes as a “huge game changer.”
