Case Study: Molex achieves increased uptime and improved security with Raritan remote management solutions

A Raritan Case Study

Preview of the Molex Case Study

World’s Largest Electronics Connector Supplier Improves Data Center Performance by Adding Remote Management Control

Molex, a global leader in electronic connectors, needed a more responsive way to manage its Singapore data center that supports Asia Pacific operations. Legacy KVMs could not provide remote BIOS-level access, remote power control, serial-console integration or AD-based authentication, and the IT team wanted to move to a secure, lights-out data center to reduce downtime and on-site interventions.

Molex deployed Raritan’s Dominion KX II KVM-over-IP switches, Dominion SX serial console servers and Dominion PX intelligent PDUs to provide integrated out-of-band remote management. The solution delivered secure web and VPN access to BIOS-level consoles, remote power cycling, centralized monitoring and AD authentication—simplifying maintenance, reducing travel and downtime, and enabling lights-out operations with improved security and uptime.
