Raritan Solution Bolsters Efficiency at Morgan Keegan Branch Offices

Morgan Keegan & Company (now part of Raymond James) is a 3,200‑employee investment firm with roughly 400 branch offices that depends on continuous access to market feeds, internal systems and fast connectivity. While Raritan KVMs kept its two data centers highly available, supporting remote branches was time‑consuming: remote software tools required a running OS, often forced local staff to perform hard resets, consumed WAN bandwidth, and delayed repairs — risking downtime and slower client service.

To fix this, Morgan Keegan deployed Raritan Dominion KSX II appliances integrated with CommandCenter Secure Gateway, giving out‑of‑band BIOS‑level KVM, serial and power control, Virtual Media and strong AES encryption. The solution lets IT remotely reboot, troubleshoot and reinstall systems even if the OS is down, reducing travel and mean‑time‑to‑repair, enabling weekend maintenance from home, and increasing IT productivity; KSX II units are already in about a third of the larger branches with further rollouts planned.
