F5 Network boosts lab monitoring across 118 racks with Raritan

F5 Networks, a global leader in Application Delivery Networking, was running out of power and cooling capacity in its main product development lab. This created urgent challenges in monitoring energy use and preventing equipment overheating. To address this, F5 turned to vendor Raritan for a DCIM and environmental monitoring solution.

Raritan implemented its Power IQ DCIM software and deployed over 100 temperature/humidity sensors connected to intelligent PDUs. This gave F5 real-time visibility into power usage and environmental conditions, preventing overloads and enabling a cooling outage recovery plan. The solution led to a marked reduction in energy consumption and increased lab capacity. F5 is building on this success by further deploying Raritan's dcTrack software for asset management.
