Case Study: EPAM Systems achieves secure, remote server access and reduced downtime with Raritan's Dominion KX II

A Raritan Case Study

Preview of the EPAM Systems Case Study

EPAM Systems addresses the growing need to increase productivity and reduce downtime in its data center

EPAM Systems, a major custom software developer and IT consultancy with offices across Europe and the US, needed secure, fast and reliable remote access to servers in its Belarus data center. The IT team required KVM-over-IP that would allow virtual media (installing software from a user’s local drives), high-quality video over low bandwidth, precise mouse synchronization, and robust security and redundancy—capabilities their previous solution lacked.

They deployed Raritan’s Dominion KX II KVM-over-IP switches, which provide virtual media, Absolute Mouse Synchronization, dual power/gigabit ports and strong encryption. As a result, EPAM’s IT staff increased productivity and reduced server downtime by performing remote installs and reboots, cut cabling to improve rack airflow, gained local LCD console access, and expanded the solution to other offices.
