To address this, Commander partnered with vendor Raritan to implement an intelligent energy monitoring solution.

Raritan's solution involved installing its Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM) units and Power IQ energy management software. This provided Commander with billing-grade accuracy for tracking energy consumption per circuit, enabling them to invoice customers based on actual usage. The implementation was non-disruptive and gave the data centre team real-time visibility into power usage and capacity. As a result, Commander gained the ability to measure its PUE efficiency ratio, prepare for new energy rating systems, and can now provide customers with detailed insights into their own power consumption.
