Case Study: LEGO Group reignites the joy of play with Rapport’s mid-air haptics experience

A Rapport Case Study

LEGO Group creates touchless play for 350 children with Rapport

The LEGO Group faced the challenge of reigniting the joy of play for families after a difficult 2020, needing to demonstrate the creative possibilities of its bricks without any physical contact due to the pandemic. To keep LEGO at the top of wish-lists, they partnered with Rapport to create a magical, touchless play experience.

Rapport developed an innovative outdoor experience using mid-air haptics technology, allowing children to build virtual LEGO sets with hand gestures at London's Westfield Stratford. This solution engaged 350 children directly and was witnessed by over 7 million people. The campaign massively exceeded LEGO's holiday sales targets, resulting in its biggest Q4 on record, all achieved with zero physical contact.
