The MedicAlert Foundation, a nonprofit membership organization, sought a way to accelerate the sharing of its members' vital medical information with 911 responders to improve emergency outcomes. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor RapidSOS and its emergency response data platform to ensure critical data could be delivered quickly and securely during a crisis.

The solution implemented by RapidSOS securely shares a member's health profile—including allergies, medications, and patient instructions—directly to a 911 telecommunicator's screen the moment a call is placed. This provides first responders with crucial information before they arrive on scene, allowing them to better assess resources and make life-saving decisions. As a result of this partnership with RapidSOS, MedicAlert has enhanced member protection and has successfully expanded the service to the United Kingdom's National Health Service.
