CentralSquare Technologies worked with RapidSOS to improve the accuracy of wireless caller location data for Hamilton County 911 in Chattanooga, TN. The challenge was that traditional carrier-based location information from Phase 1 and Phase 2 ALI could be inconsistent, especially for indoor calls, making it harder for dispatchers to find callers quickly and reliably. The testing focused on integrating RapidSOS NG911 Clearinghouse location data into CentralSquare Inform CAD.

RapidSOS implemented device-based hybrid location through the NG911 Clearinghouse, which was captured in CentralSquare Inform CAD and compared against traditional wireless location methods during 18 test calls. The results showed a major improvement: 94% of RapidSOS calls were within 50 meters of ground truth, compared with 39% using traditional wireless location, and the average error dropped from 348.73 meters to 25.03 meters. This gave CentralSquare Technologies a more accurate supplemental location source for 911 dispatchers.
