Cherokee County 911 faced a critical outage during peak call volume, leaving the agency unable to reroute or handle emergency calls through its normal system. During the disruption, the team turned to RapidDeploy and its Radius Mapping solution to help keep emergency response operations moving.

Using RapidDeploy’s Radius Mapping, telecommunicators could view mobile signals in real time, identify callers whose 911 calls were not going through, and access phone numbers and exact locations. The team was able to initiate voice calls and text-from-911 from within Radius, helping support more than 30 calls during the outage and maintain service for the community.
