Hypertherm, part of Hypertherm Associates, needed better visibility and control across a complex manufacturing environment that included operational technology, IoT devices, legacy systems, and proprietary software. Rapid7 implemented InsightVM along with InsightAppSec to improve vulnerability scanning, application security testing, and workflow automation. The solution helped Hypertherm create a dynamic blacklist to avoid taking printers offline, gain live dashboard visibility for executives, detect rogue devices via DHCP scanning, and automate ticketing through Jira; AppSpider/InsightAppSec also empowered developers to test and fix web app issues faster. As a result, Hypertherm improved security visibility, reduced manual effort, and enabled faster, more confident remediation across the business.
