A Rapid7 Case Study
Wesley Mission Queensland is a mid‑sized not‑for‑profit delivering community, aged‑care and mental health services across Queensland. After COVID‑era remote work expanded, the organisation faced rising phishing and malware attempts and had limited visibility into staff endpoints — a particular problem for a small security team without the resources to run a full 24/7 SOC.
Wesley Mission deployed Rapid7 InsightVM and Managed Detection & Response (MDR), using a single agent for vulnerability management and continuous monitoring, plus 24/7 threat hunting and log ingestion from firewalls and endpoints. The combination gave the team live visibility, faster remediation and automated response capabilities; as a result incidents have dropped to nearly zero, the MDR team has intercepted threats (including a nighttime malware event), and reporting and patching workflows are now more effective.
