Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, a large Queensland government health organisation operating 3 major hospitals and 11 satellite hospitals, needed to replace a laborious paper-based contractor management process. Rapid Global’s software, including Rapid Induct, Rapid Contractor Management, Rapid Access and Rapid Permit to Work, was brought in to better manage 600 contractors, support site sign-ins, and improve compliance across its busy hospital environment.

Rapid Global implemented online registration and inductions before arrival, electronic work permits, and sign-in terminals with geofencing for approved mobile check-ins. The result was a major improvement in efficiency and compliance, with Richard Berry reporting contractor compliance had increased by at least 100%. The system also reduced manual document chasing, made processes easier for less computer-literate contractors, and delivered highly praised support from Rapid Global, with plans underway to expand the solution to the remaining regional hospitals.
