Transdev QLD, part of Transdev, operates buses and ferries across Queensland and needed a better way to manage contractor compliance and inductions. With employees and contractors working side by side, its face-to-face induction process was time-consuming and unreliable, and collecting, recording, and storing licenses, certificates, and insurance documents created compliance risk. Rapid Global’s Rapid Induct and Rapid Contractor Management were used to help address these challenges.

Rapid Global implemented an online induction and contractor management system that allowed workers to complete training before arriving on site, while contractor documents and compliance records could be collected, stored, and checked digitally. The result was a major improvement in safety and efficiency: on-site compliance increased from 40% to 99.7%, safety notices dropped sharply, and Transdev QLD cut annual contractor management costs by 72%, including a 92% reduction in wage costs for managing contractors.
