Case Study: Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria boosts event safety and compliance with Rapid Global

Large scale event management organisation employs safety technology

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is a member-based organisation that runs major agricultural events, including the Royal Melbourne Show, which attracts around 500,000 visitors each year. RASV needed a better way to manage event risk, including contractor compliance, inductions, and incident reporting across a large and varied stakeholder group. Rapid Global was chosen to help replace paper-based and informal processes with a more structured compliance system.

Rapid Global implemented Rapid Induct, Rapid Contractor Management, and Rapid Incident Reporting to streamline inductions, collect and track contractor documentation, and manage incidents online with assigned investigations and closeouts. The result was a stronger audit trail and faster response to incidents: more than 1,700 incidents were reported during the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show, and over 3,300 incidents were reported, investigated, and actioned in 2015. RASV said the new system reduced risk and cut the time to report, investigate, and apply corrective actions from days to about one hour.
