Institute adopts innovative incident management and online training system

Garvan Institute of Medical Research partnered with Rapid Global to improve health and safety management across multiple sites. Its main challenge was replacing handwritten and fragmented incident reporting processes, while also creating a better way to deliver online induction and training to contractors, workers, and PhD students, with evidence of course completion for affiliated universities.

Rapid Global implemented Rapid Incident Reporting to centralize incident, hazard, and corrective action tracking, and Rapid Induct to manage online inductions, training, contractor documents, and compliance records. The solution improved reporting speed and visibility, supported proactive safety management, and helped Garvan achieve stronger compliance in two external audits. Garvan has also created 20+ courses and recorded 1,635 completed courses to date.
