A Rapid Global Case Study
Fulton Hogan, a large construction company operating across New Zealand, Australia and Southeast Asia, needed a faster, more reliable way to manage site inductions, contractor documentation and site access across about 100 sites. Before working with Rapid Global, the process was time-consuming, costly and difficult to track, especially with thousands of employees and contractors moving through changing project sites. Rapid Global’s products, including Rapid Induct, Rapid Contractor Management and Rapid Access, were introduced to address these challenges.
Rapid Global implemented a centralised system that allowed contractors to complete registrations and inductions online, submit and update required documents, and receive reminders before expiry. Rapid Access terminals were also installed at key sites to manage sign-ins, sign-outs and emergency notifications. The results included major time savings: Joel Abuyen estimated that induction administration could cost around $1,800 per week in staff time, while the new process reduced individual inductions to about five minutes, improved compliance and gave Fulton Hogan better visibility over site attendance and working hours.
