Ausgrid, a State Owned Corporation owned by the New South Wales Government, operates a large electricity network serving 1.6 million homes and businesses across Sydney, the Hunter and the Central Coast. With 60 sites to manage, Ausgrid needed a stronger site security solution to ensure access was restricted to inducted personnel; it had previously been using Rapid Induct at only 4 sites.

Rapid Global implemented the Rapid Access System, providing swipe card access control across all 60 sites and monitoring worker fatigue through hours tracking and alerts. The solution improved security and safety for more than 4,000 people on site and helped Ausgrid achieve a remarkably fast evacuation, with the Rapid Access System’s printed evacuation list proving invaluable during an emergency.
