B&R, a medium‑enterprise industrial automation company, faced the need to prioritize and automate a range of tests—including end‑to‑end, functional UI, integration, regression and smoke tests—with primary goals of automating end‑to‑end and regression testing and increasing overall test coverage.

B&R deployed Ranorex Studio (used by 10–49 team members and integrated with Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager) to automate testing across technologies like C#, C/C++, JavaScript/Node.js, .NET, WinForms and WPF for desktop web apps. The implementation delivered more than a 20% productivity gain (saving 6+ hours per week per person), increased testing efficiency, shortened test cycles and improved technical testing skills.
