How TalTech Redesigned its Cybersecurity Curriculum with RangeForce

Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) faced a growing gap between theory and practice in cybersecurity education: faculty spent excessive time building hands-on lessons, assessments were largely theoretical, and the program could not scale. To address this, TalTech adopted RangeForce’s on-demand, cloud-based cybersecurity training platform and pre-built skill modules to deliver interactive, hands-on learning at scale.

RangeForce, implemented in 2016, provided ready-made interactive labs and automated reporting that streamlined teaching and evaluation. Since deployment RangeForce has helped train over 625 students, cut course preparation time by about 75% (from up to 80 hours to under 20 hours for a 100-student course), and reduced grading from roughly 16 hours to about 20 minutes per 100 students—while enabling hands-on experience and using assessments in graduate admissions.
